Accessibility Statement
Caribbean Watersports & Enviro-Tours is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all guests, including people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the experience for everyone and to apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Our commitment
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive and neurological disabilities.
We do not claim that this site fully conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA today. It partially conforms: parts of the site meet the standard and some known parts do not. The specific problems we currently know about are listed under “Known limitations” below, and we would rather tell you about them than overstate where we are.
Measures we take
To support accessibility, this website is built with:
- Semantic HTML with clear landmarks (header, navigation, main and footer) and a logical heading order.
- Keyboard navigation - the site is built to be operated with a keyboard, and a "Skip to main content" link is provided. We test for this, but see "Known limitations" below for where it currently falls short.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
- Color contrast that aims to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios for text and interface elements.
- Visible focus indicators so keyboard users can always see where they are on the page.
- Reduced-motion support that respects the operating-system "reduce motion" preference.
- ARIA attributes where they add clarity for assistive technologies, used sparingly and in line with native semantics.
Accessibility on our in-person charters
We want every guest to enjoy time on the water. Our trips are private and crewed, and we are glad to make reasonable accommodations. If you or someone in your party has mobility, sensory, or other accessibility needs, please call us at (305) 852-4707 before your trip so our crew can prepare and assist where possible. Please note that boats and bayside pickup locations have natural physical limitations, and we will be honest with you about what we can and cannot accommodate for your safety and comfort.
Known limitations
These are the accessibility problems we currently know about on this website. They were identified in our own review and are queued for repair. This list is honest rather than flattering: if you hit something that is not on it, please tell us using the contact details below.
- Some third-party content is outside our control. Embedded video (YouTube), the payment form (Stripe) and map content are provided by other companies. We choose accessible options where we can, but we cannot fix the accessibility of their interfaces ourselves.

Recently fixed
Two of the problems that were listed above as known limitations have been repaired. We are leaving a record of them here rather than quietly deleting them, so you can see what changed and tell us if it is still not right for you.
- The background video on the home page can now be paused, and it stays paused. There is a pause button in the bottom corner of the video. You can reach it with the keyboard, and it reports to assistive technology whether the video is currently playing or paused. Previously the page restarted the video whenever it was paused, which made the browser's own pause control useless. Related: if "reduce motion" is switched on in your operating system, the video is now not started at all and a still photograph is shown instead. Fixed August 26, 2026.
- The booking page now announces which options you have selected. Each experience, trip type and departure time is a button that reports whether it is currently selected, so a screen reader will tell you what you have chosen before you pay. Fixed August 26, 2026.

Review & updates
We review this statement and our website's accessibility on an ongoing basis. This statement was last reviewed and updated on August 26, 2026, when the two problems now listed under "Recently fixed" were repaired and removed from the list of known limitations. It was prepared from our own internal review of the site; it has not been audited by an independent third party.
Repairing those two problems does not change our overall position. We still claim only partial conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, for the reasons given at the top of this page.
