Sunset Photography Tips for Your Key Largo Cruise
Capture the magic — then remember to put the phone down.

A sunset champagne cruise on Florida Bay serves up some of the most photogenic skies in Florida. Here's how to capture them — without missing the moment.
Get the shot
- Shoot into the afterglow. The best color often comes 10–20 minutes after the sun sets.
- Use the silhouettes. The sail, the rigging and your group make dramatic foregrounds.
- Tap to expose for the sky. Let the foreground go dark for richer color.
- Catch the reflection. Calm bay water mirrors the sky — get low and include it.

Then look up
The most important tip of all: take a few frames, then put the phone down. No photo quite captures the feeling of a Keys sunset with a champagne glass in hand and calm water all around. Be there for it.
