Your First Key Largo Snorkel Trip: A Complete Guide
Everything you need to know before you hit the water.

Key Largo is the self-proclaimed Dive Capital of the World, and it's an equally fantastic place to snorkel. If it's your first time, here's everything you need to plan a great day on the water with a private snorkel sail.
What to expect
On our Island Adventure Snorkeling Excursion, you'll sail the calm, shallow flats near the Pelican Key area aboard the 37′ Carolina Moon. The water is warm and clear, the crew helps everyone get comfortable, and because the trip is private, there's no crowd and no rush.
What to bring
- Rash guard or swim shirt — sun protection that's reef-friendly.
- Reef-safe sunscreen — for anywhere the shirt doesn't cover.
- A towel and dry clothes — for the ride back.
- Water, a hat and a smile — we provide the snorkel gear.
First-timer tips
Relax and breathe slowly through the snorkel, use a flotation belt if you'd like, and let the crew guide you. Most first-timers are grinning within minutes. Come with an open mind and you'll leave with a new favorite hobby.
